MLADEN SOVILJ, SLAVIC ARTISTS MANAGEMENT CLIENT, OPENS NEW HORIZONS IN THE INTERNATIONAL FILM MARKET
Mladen Sovilj, client of the first Serbian talent agency, Slavic Artists Management, is pushing the boundaries of his current career and stepping onto the world stage in the upcoming Spanish thriller series “Scar” (Cicatriz). The talented cast is led by Spanish stars Luís Fernández and Juanlu González, with Milena Radulović as the main protagonist in this dynamic thriller.
The audience will have the opportunity to see Mladen in the role of Vanja, a capricious, self-willed, and somewhat quirky criminal. Playing the role of Vanja’s intelligent, cautious and practical boss Boris is the star of “Deadpool” and “Better Call Saul”, actor Stefan Kapičić. Since the tragedy shook her life when she was still a child, the goal of Irina (Milena Radulovic), a mysterious woman with a scar on her face, is nothing but revenge. Helping her in this mission is Afgan, a key figure in her past, present, and future. The task of turning Irina into a killing machine falls in the hands of the local actor and producer Goran Šušljik.
The series “Scar”, a co-production of Telekom Srbija, Amazon Prime Video, and Spanish television RTVE, based on the bestselling novel by Juan Gomes-Hurado, guarantees dynamic content. The project is led by the production companies Plano a Plano and Dopamin, with executive producers Asacha Media Group and Adrenalin, establishing a connection between Serbia and Spain and ensuring global visibility in the film market.
The creative team behind the series is well-known and multi-award-winning. From the writers Pablo Roe, Fernando Sankristobal, and Veronica Marze, who have adapted some of the most awarded projects such as “Money Heist” (La Casa de Papel), “Toy Boy,” and “Diablero,” comes an eight-episode drama set to be filmed in Serbia and Spain at the end of the year. “Scar” is directed by Miguel Angel Vivas, known for his outstanding work such as “Money Heist,” “Locked Up” (Vis-a-vis), and “Extinction.”
The first scenes of the series have already been shot in Bilbao, with filming scheduled to conclude in March 2024. The release date will be announced later.
